Specialties
My adventure began when I was 18 years old. I began working in a childrenÕs home with the developmentally disabled population in Rockton. At the same time I worked in a nursing home with dementia and Alzheimer patients. I have continued my journey, working with that population for over 23 years. I have experience working with a variety of individuals who have different challenges; developmental disabilities, autism, behavioral issues, elderly, and individuals with dementia and AlzheimerÕs. I worked in the school system in my hometown for 11 years, I have owned and operated a state licensed CBRF home for dementia and AlzheimerÕs clients. I also worked in residential homes in direct care and supervising 2 state licensed homes AFH, CBRF for 10 years. My last position with LSS was as the program supervisor of 2 day program centers located in Beloit and Janesville. They served a variety of individuals which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am looking forward to a new adventure with Connections being an IRIS Consultant.

More about me
I have 3 wonderful children who are now grown and living on their own in Arizona and I also have 2 amazing grandchildren, 2 years old and 10 months who have my heart! I live in Rockton IL with my husband and we have elder animals 2 cats and 1 dog (just losing our lab who wouldÕve turned 14 this Aug) and they sure keep us busy. I love my historical home which was built in 1841 with refinishing it to its glory and it is a never ending project there is always something to do or fix. I also love my yards and flowers my husband is my constant gardener and the keeper of the yard but I also lend a helping hand when needed. He loves working in it making it beautiful. We are planning to have a childrenÕs playground again after so many years of an empty yard only for the animals and now for our grandchildren to play in when they are here visiting.
