Ellie moved to the U.S in 2010 with her family. She lived in a refugee camp for thirteen years before that. One of the most difficult experience she had to encounter was the language barrier. Ellie loves spending time with her family and community members. She helps her mother take care of her disabled sister at their home. Ellie's time interning at the Salvation Army was one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. Working with vulnerable populations gives her much joy. She is looking forward to serving those who are in need of assistance.
